Genesis
Sri Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Gurap, was started in 1981 on the birthplace of Swami Vishuddhananda, the 8th President of the Math & Mission. It was made a branch of the Mission in 2016 under the name ‘Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama’. Keeping in mind the ideal of Sri Ramakrishna, 'Shiva Gyane Jiva Seva', this ashram is working towards the rural development by spreading education, providing health services and training for the self-reliance of the underprivileged society.
